GYAN DAIRY was founded by Mr. chandra raj pokhar agarwal (from farrukhabad) in 2007.Before its foundation c.p agarwal was leading cp milk & food products which was started in 2005 this small dairy unit refurnished to create 'GYAN DAIRY'. It is a privately held subsidiary of cp milk & food products . Since its inception gyan dairy which is headquartered in lucknow is managed by mr. cp agarwal's grandsons  mr.jai agarwal and mr. anuj agarwal. GYAN DAIRY started with just two products on its portflio gyan skimming powder and gyan desi ghee.

Today gyan dairy is the largest dairy products manufacturer in eastern uttar pradesh it sells 17+ different milk and milk based products they are ;full cream milk, fortified milk, creamy milk, cow milk, toned milk, plain chaach, masala chaach, plain lassi, mango lassi, plain dahi, and meetha dahi, butter, ghee, paneer, and skimmed milk powder.

Before the the company began manufacturing , they created a cooperative society of dairy farming it encourages farmers to take up dairy farming. today gyan dairy has 2000+ village level collection centers his connected farmers across 6 districts in uttar pradesh and adjoining lucknow. Mr.jai jai agarwal and Mr. anuj agarwal have received the young indian entrepreneurs of the year 2016.Its tagline "always fresh,always pure unveiled in 2017 along with co.'s theme song 'shuddh aur taaza, gyan ka waada".

GYAN DAIRY was the officially dairy partner for the UP YODDHA which is up's official kabaddi team for the vivo pro kabbadi league 2017 tournament . The company also release its official campaign for the tournament , "ek saans me laga de jaan, yoddha aur gyaan.
