The startup was founded in bangalore with RAJIV SHRIVASTAVA who is the CPTO of this startup he was previously worked with cognizant. URBAN LADDER was founded in 2012 in the tech city of india named BANGALORE. urban ladder is the first online startup in home decor and furniture solutions industry.

urban ladder is design led omni channel brand which offers home decor and furniture solutions for living room, dining room,bed room, study room with more than 5000+ designs.
on 8 july 2017 urban ladder shift to offline retail and opened its first 4 flagship store in bangalore.
urban ladder collected the 'best digital startup' award at the 4th indian digital awards conducted by internet and mobile association of india.
Funding
urban ladder got secured initial capital of $1million from kalaari capital in 2012.Later company raised us$5 million from saif partners and kalaari capitals.
later on , urban ladder raised big amount of us $50 million from sequoia capital and TR capitals. after this funding he got various fundings from various capital companies. urban ladder finally got success in 2015 and he took decision on suggestion and consultaion services in 2016 on basis of growing customers requests.finally urban ladder has launched consultation and suggestion service in last quarter of 2016.
